How to Use Text Fields

Text Fields help create a structured and clear layout in documents and templates. Follow these steps to use and customize them:

  1. Locate the Text Field

In the right panel under Content, find the Text Field option.
  1. Add to the Document

Drag the Text Field to the desired position on the page. A green line will indicate its placement.

  2. Set the Field Type

Under Field Type, you can either:
    • Select an existing Text Field from the metadata.
    • Create a new field and assign it a label.

  1. Adjust Field Settings

In the field settings, specify which role (such as sender or recipient) should complete the field.
  2. Customize the Text Field

    Options include:

    • Making it required for the recipient to fill in.
    • Defining it as conditional, meaning it will only appear if another field meets a specific condition.
    • Customizing text size to fit different formatting needs.
    • Allowing multiple rows of text for larger input fields.
    • Adding a calculation – Use simple mathematical expressions to calculate values based on other document fields.
