# How to delete documents in SimpleSign

#### **Deleting Documents in SimpleSign:**

**Unsigned documents** will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need them before deleting.

**Signed documents** will not be permanently deleted. They will be moved to the **Trash folder**

**Steps to delete a document that are unsigned:**

1. Go to the **Documents** section.
2. Select the document you want to delete.
3. A  preview will appear on the right side.
4. Click the **more option button (⋮)** in the top-right corner.
5. Select **Delete Permanently** to remove the document.

**Steps to delete a signed Document:**

1. Go to the **Documents** section.
2. Select the document you want to delete.
3. A  preview will appear on the right side.
4. Click the **more option button (⋮)** in the top-right corner.
5. Select **move to trash** to remove the document.

**How to find your deleted signed documents:**

- To view deleted documents in the **Trash**, go to the **Documents** section and click the **more option button (⋮)** in the top-right corner.
- Select **Trash**, and your deleted signed documents will be displayed.
