# How to Add & Request Attachments

Instructions for including or requesting attachments in documents and templates.

Documents may require additional information in the form of attachments, such as ID documents, Terms and Conditions, or other relevant files. This article explains how to add or request attachments within your documents or templates.

### Add an Attachment

1. In your document, go to the **Blocks** section.
2. Locate and select the **Attachment** block.
3. Drag the block into the desired position in your document. Green guidelines will indicate placement.

#### Settings:

2. In the settings, you can configure:  
     - Who the request is from.
     - Whether the attachment is mandatory to view or upload.

1. - Whether the attachment is conditional based on other content.
