Contract type layouts
SimpleSign lets you categorize your documents and agreements into different contract types. Each contract type has its own contract card (layout) that contains a set of apps. Apps are modular sections that display relevant information, tasks and metadata for that contract type.
Standard apps
- Status – Monitor the status of a contract, such as active, expired or terminated.
- Contract manager – Identify who is responsible for the contract.
- Expenses – Track costs associated with the contract.
- Revenue – Record income related to the contract.
- Term and renewal – Keep track of the start and end dates of the contract and set up renewal reminders.
- Attach documents – Upload and link supporting documents to the contract card.
- Activities – View and manage tasks, activities and responsible parties associated with the contract.
- Notes – Leave notes and comments about the contract.
- Contacts – List internal and external contacts connected to the contract.
- Contract events – See a timeline of key events that have occurred during the contract lifecycle
Create your own apps
In addition to the standard apps, you can create your own custom apps by selecting attributes from your document fields. Custom apps allow you to highlight any fields you find important. For example, you might want to group and display fields such as Price, Salary, Location, Department, Notice period or Comments on the contract card.
Document fields
Document fields are the building blocks for your agreements. They can be drop‑down lists, checkboxes, date pickers, radio buttons or text fields. The information captured in these fields becomes metadata that you can display through apps and use for filtering and reporting.
